  • Risk factor for type 2 diabestes are : obesity (80%), age (>40 years), less of exercises, gestational diabetes, stress, poor diet, and some etnicts.

Gestational diabetes

Gestaitonal diabetes is a disorder in which the body does not make enough insulin or is unable to use all of the insulin needed during pregnancy. The reason some women develop gestational diabetes is unknown. Contributing factors include hormones needed for the baby's growth interfere with and block insulin's performance, excess weight increases insulin resistance, insulin resistance prevents the body from effectively using the insulin that is produced. Approximately 2 percent to 3 percent of all pregnant women in the United States are diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is the most common of diabetes. The problem is not in the pancreas, pancreas have enough production of insulin even the production of insulin is more. But the reseptor insulin is resistance, so the insulin can not binding well. If the insulin couldn't bind correctly the sugar or glucose in blood will be increase and can make other dangerous complication. People with this diabetes can life normally if he can manage his glucose blood.

Type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is a disorder primarily caused by failure of the pancreas to release enough insulin, characterized by hypo- and hyperglycemia, glucosuria, water and electrolyte loss, ketoacidosis and coma; long-term complications can affect the nervous, renal and cardiovascular systems. Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, and was previously known as juvenile diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar (glucose), starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. Finding out you have diabetes is scary. But don't panic. Type 1 diabetes is serious, but people with diabetes can live long, healthy, happy lives. With good treatment a person that suffer type 2 diabetes can life like normal peoples.

what's the real definiton of diabetes?

Diabetes is a metabolic disorders which body unable to handle sugar characterized by high levels of blood glucose resulting from defects in insulin production, insulin action, or both. This syndrom marked by excessive discharge of urine, persistent thirst, weight loss, visual blurring. Especially there are two types of diabetes mellitus (type 1 and type 2) but there are another type of diabetes mellitus such as gestational diabetes and other defects of pancreas that can cause diabetes. Diabetes can be associated with serious complications and premature death, but people with diabetes can take steps to control the disease and reduce the risk of complications.
